Local Search Review: terms

Updated 10 October 2026

1. Who we are

Charlie Broddle, a UK sole trader trading as Fieldnote Search ("we").
Marble House, 14 Masonry Place, Hayes, UB3 1EU. Email: hello@fieldnotesearch.co.uk.
Not VAT registered.

"You" means the business buying the review. We work only with limited companies and LLPs buying for their business. This is a business-to-business contract.

2. What you get

A Local Search Review of one website and one main service area:

  1. A fresh data pull for your website and up to 3 local competitors: local search results, keywords, links, Google Business Profile, and a technical check of your homepage.
  2. A review document (PDF) covering where you stand against local competitors, searches competitors appear for and you don't (volumes are estimates), technical fixes by impact, a Google Ads test plan, 30-day quick wins and a 90-day roadmap.
  3. Written notes on the review, page by page: what each figure is, where it came from, the date it was collected, whether it is an estimate, and what it means for your business. No call is needed to understand the review.
  4. A written, prioritised action list: what to do, who could do it, roughly how long it takes.
  5. A keyword-to-page plan: which page should target which search.
  6. A Google Business Profile checklist for your listing.
  7. Direct support for 30 days after delivery. Charlie's direct phone number (call or text) and email for questions about the review. We aim to reply within 1 working day (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Support covers explaining the review and its recommendations; it doesn't include doing the work, reviewing new websites or advice on other matters.
  8. A written re-check 30–45 days after delivery: we re-check where you appear for the review's main searches and send a short update by email.

There are no scheduled calls. Everything is in writing, so you and anyone who works for you can refer back to it.

Not included: changes to your website, Google Business Profile or ads; writing content; managing ads; ongoing reporting. We can quote for these separately.

We don't need access to your accounts. We work from public data and anything you choose to show or send us. We don't log into your website, Google or advertising accounts.

3. Timing

We deliver the review within 10 working days of payment arriving and of receiving any information we've asked for. If we can't meet that, we'll tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund.

7. No guarantees

We give honest, evidence-based recommendations. We do not and cannot guarantee rankings, map-pack positions, traffic, enquiries, sales or advertising results. Those depend on Google, your competitors, your market and how the recommendations are carried out. Fieldnote Search is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
